STATEMENT

My work explores the entangled relationship between vulnerability and resilience through intimate, often whimsical sculptural forms. Constructed from natural and domestic materials—twigs, yarn, wire, feathers—these delicate figures evoke gestures of care, memory, and quiet resistance. Poised on rigid bases or subtly animated, they reflect the unseen performances often expected of women: to entertain, to comfort, to remain composed. There’s a sense of nostalgia woven into each piece—miniature swings, soft knits, hints of play—inviting viewers into a space that is at once tender, uncanny, and politically charged. Rooted in a feminist framework, the work honors fragility not as weakness, but as a quiet and persistent strength.
